The main reason for applying siding is to make your homes more energy efficient.
The fundamental purpose for energy loss in our homes is ‘Thermal Bridging’. Thermal bridging is nothing but the conduction of heat through wood studs and other framing materials. This can result in heat loss inside the homes and formation of moulds on the outer walls due to condensation of moisture.
There are various method of siding which are wood, metal and vinyl. These different materials can be directly attached to the foundation of the house; planks, boards, plywood etc. Unlike roofs, depending on the location and its surrounding of the house, lack of sun light may cause a series of moulds.
